July is a month, during which I go for long holidays. This year was no exception. Although I have been separated from my computer for nearly 3 weeks, I managed to write about my favorites of the month!

As a newsletter subscriber of a very cool stationery store Ohh Deer, I get systematically e-mails about cool artists, that they are cooperating with. Recently I received an article about the illustration Mei Stoyva, whose illustrations are very happy and colorful, usually depicting animals. Her style reminds me a bit to some of the cartoon network cartoons from my childhood. Well chosen colors and the cuteness that beam from her illustrations are appreciated not only by kids.
This creative studio based in Cape Town is doing everything I'm interested design wise - graphics, illustrations, motion and lettering. Their portfolio is astonishing, if you are into design as much as I am, go have a look!
Sha'an d'Anthes - Dyalla DRIFT EP design
I am a big fan of Sha'an, she is a Sydney based illustrator. I wrote about her already in a previous post. I am always curious of her new work. In the beginning of the month she posted this beautiful art work for an EP cover.
ACRYLIC MARKERS artsy stuff
This month I was on holidays and for the illustrations in my travel sketchbook I just used acrylic markers. Last time I used acrylic paint was during my bachelor studies, which was yearsss ago. When I recently heard about acrylic markers, I got intrigued. I found the ones from the brand Molotow in my local art store and decided to try them out. It took me a while to get back into this technique, but it helped me develop skills in the case of shape and color decision. In the end using them was lots of fun!
