Summer is here, so it's time for some sweet, refreshing drinks!
Sun rays on the skin, gentle knocking of ice cubes on the walls of glass, fruity taste dissolving on the tongue. Those are some of the impressions I'm searching for on a perfect summer day! Also, let's not forget about how important hydration is (especially when it's hot). It's worth to put some effort every now and then to drink something more pleasurable than plain water.
I chose 2 of my favorite beverages to share with you guys! Both of them are super easy to make, you just need fresh ingredients, a mixer and a lemon squeezer.
1. Tropical shake
What goes in:
small, fresh pineapple
250g fresh strawberries
glass of orange juice
glass of apple juice
While walking through beautiful Rome before midday I searched for a proper breakfast, which I found in a cute, small local. There I also drank this shake, I was so impressed, that I took a photo of the ingredients, just to recreate it at home. I also served it to my friends on a party and everyone loved it!
2. Basil lemonade
What goes in:
lemon juice from 2 lemons
80g brown sugar
1-15 basil leaves
sparkling water
ice cubes
This one seems to be questionable, but trust me - basil combined with lemon appears to be one of the most refreshing things ever! I stumbled upon that one last summer in Warsaw.
What do you like to drink on a sunny day in summer?
