Cross-stitching was a hobby of mine during my early teenage years. It started after my cousin gave me an embroidery starter kit for Christmas. I had so much fun with it, that it turned into a hobby of mine, which lasted for a few years.
Nowadays, as a graphic designer I decided to create my own minimalistic, pixelated graphic, which I can transfer from digital medium not only into paper, but also into a fabric. I suppose the arrival of Autumn inspired me to create something, that requires lots of home time, maybe covered by a blanket with a cup of tea, feeling all cosy. To stay in that spirit, I chose autumnal theme and warm colors.
The graphic itself is very simple, I wanted to make a design, which I would be able to embroider within a couple of evenings, because although I admire cross-stitching, I also have loads of other things to do.
Cross-stitching might not be rocket science, but you need a patience of a saint for it. It takes a lot of time and if you want to be precise, you have to stay concentrated all the way through it. Anyhow it was definitely a lot of fun to get back to it!
