There are places and objects in our culture, which seem they might go extinct due to the technology. One of them is theater. Easy access to entertainment, such as watching movies online makes our brains lazy. Why should we go out to see actors performing, if instead we can stay home and watch whatever movie we please? That's why (I think):
A movie cannot replace a theatre play.
When you go to a theatre, you get to see the actors in real life, hear their clear and loud voices and feel their emotions, which makes it a whole different of an experience. In theatre there are no distractions, like a phone call, a cat or popcorn. There is you, the audience and the performing actors. You can focus completely on the artwork created by multiple people. Because of being present there at this time, you are part of the magic in between the theater hall walls and no one or nothing is distracting you.
Going to a theater is a special experience, which leaves you full of impressions. It can make you happy or sad, but what I like the most about it, is that it shows topics, which are forcing you to think and open your mind.
