my 2017 Autumn Bucket List

bucket list – A number of experiences or achievements that a person hopes to have or accomplish during their lifetime. >>>https://en.oxforddictionaries.com<<<

Seems to me that nowadays everyone has some kind of a bucket list. Personally I am a big fan of organizing myself and having an agenda, it keeps me motivated and nothing ever slips my mind.

Since bucket lists have such a hype, I thought, why not making my own, short, seasonal list of things to do. Since I am strongly in the Autumn spirit, I created a draft of stuff I want to make before Winter starts… If it will go well, I might make another one for Winter later on.

1. Decorate the apartment for Autumn

I know it's not for everyone, some may think it's completely pointless, but I enjoy decorating my surrounding depending on the season. It's important to me to make my home all cosy for the rainy weeks.

2. Go chestnut picking

I am lucky enough to live in an area where some forests have trees with edible chestnuts. I absolutely love that taste and sometimes on a cold evening on the way home from work I buy myself a package of hot chestnuts wrapped in a newspaper. They are delicious and they keep my hands warm all the way back home. I also enjoy walking though the forest and collecting them myself, so I'm hoping to find some time for that before it's too late!

3. Bake an apple pie

An apple cake is one of many traditional polish cakes. Its smell and taste remind me to my childhood and those are some wonderful memories - after all my grandma made the best apple cake ;) Nowadays I make my own apple cake (which is more of an apple pie since I always make it in a round form), full of apples, cinnamon and joy at least once a year.

4. Watch It (Based on the novel from Stephen King)

Many say it's a classic within the horror stories, yet I still didn't get the chance to see or read it. Isn't the time around Halloween perfect to watch something scary?

5. Carve a pumpkin

If we're already talking Halloween - not that I am celebrating it, but when I was in primary school, Halloween was a big thing for us (it wasn't celebrated in Poland during my childhood, but we celebrated in the school I attended to). One of the traditions I like to keep alive is carving the pumpkin, taking the seeds out of it is weirdly satisfying (is it just me?…) and then letting your creativity go while cutting out any shape you want is for me somehow a quality time.

How do you feel about bucket lists? Have you got one?
